Vacations and longer sunny days are moving towards a close.
Return to learn is upon us, as school and colleges resume their courses.
Let us enjoy and languish in these last wonderful lazy days of summer. It is neat that our first celebrated holiday after the summer is "Labor Day". A time to get our focus back and hunker down for the season and work ahead.
Let September be a time of FOCUSED ATTENTION. Try to stick to your decisions and not allow outside influences to sway you. The oak tree is a great analogy and metaphor. Remeber all things that are alive have roots. Like the mighty oak tree, imagine your roots firmed planted in mother earth, so that you are steady, strong and growing up towards the light.
BE in charge of your whole person. Your body, your schedule and your mind!
Mantra is a fantastic way to help you focus and to fill up the empty spaces as you open yourself up to new ways of thinking and being. Why pray, meditate, ask, purify, cleanse and shift, only to allow dark energies to go right back into the space you have created?
During my last classes this summer, I spoke to the ease of creating a mantra practice versus a meditation practice. What you will discover as you recite the mantras, you naturally sit still, thereby, experiencing the meditation seat. You may also find that once you have done your mantra (s), you feel compelled to just sit, and absorb the healing power of the words. Thus, simultaneously putting you on the path of traditional meditation.
